John Lambert, APR

John combines an unusual experience of working in radio, television and newspapers with 30 years of agency ownership to bring clients a wealth of knowledge of what works.

A native of Raleigh, he began his journalism career with The News & Observer at the age of 15.  He worked his way through Wake Forest University as an assistant in the Sports Information office. After earning his Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri, he joined WSAV Radio & Television in Savannah, GA, where he was a news and sports reporter/anchor. John moved to Roanoke to become news anchor and assistant news director. From there, he joined Roanoke City Schools, where he was Assistant Superintendent for community relations.

In 1977, he established John Lambert Associates, which became the largest public relations/advertising agency in Virginia, west of Richmond.

John is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and a member of its Counselors’ Academy.
